USPHS Ensemble Home

Mission

The PHS Music Ensemble represents the Office of the Surgeon General and provides musical support for events sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service, the Department of Health and Human Services and its operational divisions (OPDIVs), and other agencies.

Composition

The PHS Music Ensemble consists of three groups: Choral Group, Wind Group, and Chamber Group. Currently, approximately 75 active duty PHS officers with duty stations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, Atlanta, GA, Butner, NC, and other field offices throughout the U.S. are performing members of the Ensemble.

Requests

To request a PHS Music Ensemble performance, please download and complete the Performance Request Form and submit it according to instructions at least 30 days prior to the event. You may also download a listing of the Ensemble’s Musical Repertoire with Optional Accompaniment for all occasions.
